Music
Our music program involves the development of children’s awareness and love of music through singing, movement to music, and listening. The music program develops to include basic music theory, music history and appreciation and performance.
Foreign Language
Learning a foreign language plays an important part of the Montessori experience. The children learn vocabulary and conversational skills through singing and games. Twice a week, our language teacher provides the children with stimulating materials, from flash cards to work sheets.
Computers
The computer age is upon us and our children! Montessori classrooms are striving to expand their curriculum to include computer education for their students. Therefore, our primary and kindergarten / elementary classrooms are equipped with computers that are used as tools for story writing, comprehension, math and even some fun games. Now there is plenty of Montessori computer software that the children will not only benefit from, but also enjoy tremendously!
Art
The foundation for art and drawing is the same as that for writing: exercises that develop the muscles for the fingers and hands for holding pencils and making controlled movements. In addition, the development of the senses through the sensorial exercises aids the child’s awareness and artistic appreciation of his or her environment. Maria Montessori’s approach to the arts is a good example of her indirect approach to learning, which leads to increased creativity.
Physical Fitness
We realize the importance and necessity of physical fitness as part of every child’s well-being. Children enjoy creative movement and are offered lots of opportunities for a wide variety of physical skills such as bicycling, throwing and catching a ball, balancing on a beam, running, climbing, dancing, marching and more.

Toddler Program
This is a good opportunity for your child to begin attending school if you are interested in a program that can stimulate and begin socialization skills. Children are able to separate from their parents in a positive, enjoyable way and benefit from new experiences where their needs are met in a loving and secure atmosphere.
The goals for this classroom are to help the children be happy and productive, working by themselves or with each other, promoting independence, respecting their environment and others, experiencing music, stories and art, and promoting large and small motor development. Along the way, we help your child to succeed in toilet training. Smiles and hugs are part of our everyday activities, too!
Primary Program
Dr. Montessori described the classroom as a “graceful living space,” a prepared environment designed to offer beauty, order and reality to the child.
Montessori teaching methods apply to all the senses, using cubes, spheres and cylinders, bells, cards and counters, golden beads, prisms, sandpaper letters, movable alphabets and puzzle maps.
These unique materials can help your child understand what is learned – by associating an abstract concept with a concrete sensorial experience. Hands and mind work together – doing rather than merely observing.
Our curriculum includes: practical life activities, sensorial materials, cultural activities, language and communication, and mathematics.
Children are free to move about the classroom and choose work that is of interest to them. Our teachers are specially trained to guide each child individually through the curriculum. Each child’s progress is monitored daily. Parent conferences are scheduled twice during the year, along with progress reports.
Kindergarten/1st Grade
5 to 7 Years of Age
By the age of 6, a child is ready to understand many things in the abstract, and to organize knowledge in a personal way. From the child’s direct experience with concrete materials comes understanding. Out of understanding comes abstraction and deduction. In our Kindergarten/1st Grade Program, children focus and excel in the joy of learning and are encouraged to reach their full potential. The Montessori “cosmic curriculum” includes Language, Mathematics; from concrete to abstract. Cultural subjects that include Botany, Zoology, History, Science, Geography, Art/Art History and Music.
With primary basics, children develop greater fluency and understanding in reading, writing and math. Here, the Montessori child does it all – individual learning, social interaction and a oneness with the natural environment!
